Employment FAQ

When can I start?

If you are a licensed insurance agent in the state of Florida (either 2-15 or 2-20), you can start immediately. If you are not licensed, that is the first step. Our agency can assist with the licensing process.

How long does the licensing process take?

Typically around 3-4 weeks. The first step is an online, self-paced pre-license course. You will enroll online, complete the chapter courses and pass the pre-license exam. Once you pass the pre-license exam, you can schedule your state exam. Once you pass your state exam, you complete a fingerprint & background check. Then, you begin the onboarding process with our agency and can start earning income!

Do I need anything to start?

Yes! A computer & a cell phone.

Where/how will I generate leads?

Our agency provides training on organic lead generation. Education is key! If you educate properly, follow through, return emails & answer phone calls, leads will come naturally.

How will I be paid?

Direct deposit, semi-monthly from our agency to your bank account via a payroll company.

How does it work exactly?

You quote an insurance policy for someone who is shopping around for insurance coverage such as their auto insurance or health care coverage. Usually, they reach out because they are either shopping for a better rate, unhappy with their current insurance agent, or they do not understand what sort of coverage they have and would like for you to explain it. Once you provide them with a quote, educate them on the coverage and they are satisfied with the cost, you enroll them in the policy. This is also known as “binding the policy”. Then, you are compensated. It’s as simple as that.

What is my pay going to be?

Commission varies between the insurance carriers & policies. There is no ceiling. The more policies you “bind”, the more commission you earn.

Who can I help?

Everyone! Think about it. When you are driving around town, how many vehicles are on the road? Think about sitting in traffic for a moment. Every-Single-Vehicle on the road in front of you, behind you, to your left and to your right is *required* to carry an auto insurance policy in the state of Florida if they have a vehicle that is tagged & registered. That means there is an insurance agent getting compensated for Every-Single-Policy! Why can’t that insurance agent be you? This is just one example. Look around as you pull into your home today. Look at the houses or apartments, businesses etc. Almost everyone has some sort of insurance. Whether that be insurance on themselves, their family, their home, their property, their business, their animals. People probably have an insurance policy on their socks now days! Once you become a licensed agent, *you* can be the insurance agent that people call when they are shopping around. Someone to advise them on what they have and why they have it. Someone who can help in the event of a claim (also known as a loss) when they need to use their coverage. It’s our job as licensed insurance agents to ensure that the policies you enrolled them in meet their individual needs.
